Well that link confirmed it for me - they mention the cheap feeling plastic again...not expected to bring a diesel to N.A. GM will not learn...at least not in my lifetime.
No wonder the government bailed them out - they work just like government. They spent $2B on a new body on frame design? Really??? I mean this is early 1900 tech were talking about - body on frame. How many engineers @ $100k a year to do this? my math says 20000 man years or lets be nice and say 5000 engineers for the last 4 years..just for the frame and body?
5 thousand people to design a truck frame and body?????? :wtf:
Maybe a bit of that money could have been better spent on a upgraded interior, better QA and QC system, customer satisfaction program to name a few...or don't spend it at all and lower the price a bit and make it match what its worth...
BTW $2B is $2000 per truck for the first 100000 trucks.....hard to make money this way when your development costs are so high....
It the same thing - GM didn't fix anything that was wrong with them (ie corporate GM) and now are using their rebirth as a bandaid coverup to push new crap out to market. Still going to have crap service at the garage when its broken and denial that anythings wrong...same bad decision making at HQ...
(yes I did have a bad time with GM in the past - thats why I own my T4R)
