Chevy/Hummer dealer....flag story

The is a dealer here that is state of the art and a real awsome looking building that sell's Chevy & Hummer. They had 65 large American flag's at the dealership. Actually with the state of the art,architecture is was pretty impressive looking from the hiway, kind of gave you a good feeling with them all flying and lit up.

Anyway,some F'n knob that drive's by it on a daily basis and live's in the general vicinity find's them offensive and overpowering and had the city make them take them down because they violated a ordinance of having to many BANNERS on one's property.

I don't really consider the American flag a banner. This kind of stuff just burn's my ass. Next they will be bitchin about the flag's flying at our military cemetery's. Now granted the flag's were an attn. getter for the dealership, but was done in a first class fashion & GM dealer or not I feel this kind of stuff is out of control in this country.

It happened in Glendale California too. This newly minted citizen from some middle eastern company owns a gas station. He is so proud of becoming a 100% bonifide US Citizen that he covers his entire station in flags.

Sure enough, some bonehead complains and they used the same "banner" trick on him. Bunch of spineless city council weeners.

But that's what's nice about America is you can fly flags of other countries or anything within reason if we choose since we are FREE country but it sometimes seems the government forgets that from time to time.
