Just put one of those inclinometers on my dash. Can't wait to see how/where you put yours.

I am going to mount it about the same exact place its sitting on my dash for the pic.. Where did you mount yours?

Close to the passenger air bag compartment and as far from the windshield as the shape of the case would allow. Looks to be in about the place you're thinking of.

The dash itself is not hard to cut into and I was able to access what I needed by removing the center trim piece and some duct work.

Because of being made for right-hand drive it took some careful modifying of the shell to fit between dash and windshield, and 3 holes in the dash, one for each post, and a small one that I used to run a small screw into the bottom of the front trim piece. Otherwise it was too floppy and would hit the windshield.
This side came out best, so I'll show it.

I am intrigued by the Sonoran Steel washer tank mod, didn't know about that one. :thumb: Your truck is looking good good good!

Thanks! I've gotta run out and get a couple of bulbs for mine today (finally got it wired up). Looks like they're T1 1/2 sub-mini wedge, I'm thinking something like a 2721...

EDIT: Went with 2 #2723 2.3w. I've wired it up so it works with the dimmer.

This weekend my son and I started mocking up my sliders. Held them up and marked the factory pinch seam. I then notched the pinch seam so that I can tuck the sliders that much higher closer to the body. I did this on my old 87 I used to have as well. I think it looks cleaner and helps eliminate the gap between sliders and body. Then I put silicone on the cuts just in case and decided to paint the whole pinch seam black. Next weekend we will weld the sliders on and that will be another big project done.. then all my armor will be one.. well besides skids which will come much later.

On a side note.. does anyone have a good spare factory air box they want to sell me? Mine is cracked and don't know how much longer the arm will hold on..

Finally got my sliders welded on... Now I feel good having every side protected!

Got some bling yesterday Going to try and get this Tundra brake upgrade done on Sunday...So sick of front end wobble when I hit my brakes!

And while I was bored last night I started test fitting and getting ready to mount my inclinometer.

Tundra Brake Upgrade Adventure:

I started my brake upgrade this weekend.. and I would love to say its all done and working great.. but.. I can't I got to the finish line only to have a crazy/ nutty problem that I haven't seen before..

Started great... Took the wheel off...

Then got to the other side and one lug nut was very difficult to remove which ended up that discount jacked up a wheel lug...
So I tried tapping it and got the wheel stud clean but it had a chunk of missing thread so I just ended up replacing it.. I don't like to take chances with wheels and brakes!

So I got that fixed and moved on to trimming backing plates.. I took off more metal than needed but its all good.

I was on my last cutting disc and just finished.. Phew!

Random rotor comparison...

This was the time I had been waiting for to install my braided, extended steel lines.. One thing that bugs me is that the hard line doesn't thread in as far as the stock but it gets tight and doesn't leak so I will just keep an eye on it.

All installed and just about ready to go!

Had to get the rear line in before bleeding the system.

Then a fun pic..

Then the fun happened.... got my Motive bleeder hooked up, pressurized and got all the brakes bled. Then I went inside the vehicle to see how the peddle felt and when I hit the peddle I heard a yell... "Its leaking!"... So I asked where.. and they said they didn't know but fluid shot out.. I was like what the heck!!!!
So I had my son get in and push the peddle while I watched.. and as he hit the peddle.. a pin hole on the caliper body revealed itself!!

Look at the center of the pic.. there is a tiny black dot...

We have a squirter!
This is so frustrating.. Since I bought this kit on amazon I know have to wait for them to contact me back. If I don't hear anything today I am going to go buy calipers locally and send these back and demand a refund.

Got new calipers and painted them and installed last night.

Used the power bleeder then did the manual two person method for good measure... brakes are still a little bit spongy so I may bleed them again this weekend.

I started a little side project

Tamiya 1/32 scale hilux surf. I will paint it white and black to match mine

Put the gear box together last night it was super easy. Looks like it will have one direction.. forward! Also painted the wheels. I need to go get some white paint for the body and break out my old model supplies. Kinda fun.. I miss working on models.

First gen is kinda just sitting there waiting for my son to mess around with it. He has track right now and will get his license after then I am sure more will get done on it. It's not really getting "built".. more so just cleaning it up and keeping it nice. Any work that is done will be kept track of over on Marlin Crawler:
