Maybe I missed it, but what was the outcome of the pinhole in your caliper? Did they ever contact you back? Were they real Tundra calipers or replacements. I got my set (smaller set) from local Auto Parts Store and both wore out before the pads did.... Lifetime warrantee, but who cares if they wear out in 4 to 5 years. I've got spacers coming so next time I need to deal with them, I'm getting the large version (and real ones)....

OME 861's and Snatch block
I love my 861s! Even with my rear bumper, when I'm empty it can be a little bouncy, but when I really load it down, I'm level and rides great! I just had seven 5 gallon buckets full of beach rock in it and it rode level and smooth. I do have a loud squeak that I can't find though. But it could be anything from Sway Bar End Links to Panhard Bar to Springs or Shocks.... Who knows...

I sent the calipers back and got a refund on them. They were proper tundra calipers with the correct casting. I would have liked them just to replace them but it would have taken a week and I didn't want to be down that long. I was super happy with the finish and they looked quality but I think it was just a fluke that I got a messed up one. I ended up just going to autozone and getting their lifetime ones (same casting). I figured it would actually be easier to get them at a place like autozone in case I need to warranty them.

Got a little done on my retrofit.. Didn't spend a lot of time on this yet because its so nice outside that its hard to sit inside and work on this.
I started off with a new set of Depo headlights that way I could take my time and not have to rush to get headlights back in my runner..
(note that most of my steps are a regurgitation of TRS instruction and video info.)
Baked headlights at 270 degress (pre-heated) for 7 minutes. Came apart with no problems.
I decided to go for the H1 system because if anyone has ordered from TRS in the last couple months you know they had huge shipping issues. I had planned on the D2S but they offered these and I said sure. Kinda of glad I did though because test fitting and mounting projectors is a breeze compared to D2S. Its basically plug n play in the bulb socket. So after screwing in the projector I started working on modifying the Apollo 3.0 shrouds to fit the headlight bucket.. I used a belt sander to get a nice straight edge.
Then test fit them into the housing and was happy how they fit.
By the way.. working on these is a mess!!
After modifying the shrouds I started mounting the switchback halos to the front of the shroud per TRS recommended mounting. Drilling small holes and running thin wire to secure it to face of shroud.
So then I caused myself some extra work.. I couldn't decide if I wanted to run switchback halos or color changing halos so I decided to mount both! I mounted the switchback as shown to face of shroud (80mm halo) then I mounted the color changing halos inside the shroud (100mm halo) and my plan is to wire them to a two position switch so I can choose which one I want to run and maybe switch it up now and then.
Then switchback will be wired with halo on with parking lights and then wired to blinker to change from white to orange when on. Then with the two position switch I can switch over to the color changing halos that will be wired with the parking lights as well. I am not amazing at wiring so I hope I can actually figure it out.
The color changing halos were mounted per recommended mounting per TRS. I centered them inside the shroud and used steel stick putty to hold them in place.. I may have used a little much.. but oh well.
Since these projectors used the centering ring I had a lot of little dremeling work to get them so seat flush and not hit the wire I used to mount halos. It all came out fine.
Don't forget to use a 9V battery and cycle your high beam solenoid approx 40 times before installing per TRS recommendation.
After enlarging the factory hole in back of housing next to the main bulb hole I was able to feed all the halo and high beam wires through the housing and mounting the projectors into the housings. At this time I only have the nut on the back of the projector finger tight until I install in 4runner to double check alignment. When I am happy knowing they are good I will tighten down the alluminum nut. You don't want to do it right away in case they arent aligned because the nut will deform. I am hoping since these H1 projectors use factory style mounting rings for alignment that everything will come out good the first try. (knock on wood).
Overall I am happy with the look and fit right now.
So whats left...
I need to get these mounted on to the 4runner with the glass reinstalled.. Check alignment and if its all good then seal the glass back on and call it good. But before that happens I have a LOT of wiring to do.. most is plug and play but the hard part will be finding space for all the electronics and keeping it clean. That will come later cause I don't see getting to this for a couple weeks. But I am looking forward to having good headlights!

I didn't think I would ever be making this post update.. but today has been a horrible day and a great day.
This morning I hugged both my boys and left for work. As I turned down the street as I always do a driver pulled out in front of me.. The only thing I had time to do was to crank the wheel to avoid t-boning her car. My front end smashed into her front fender and as it did it kicked my 4runner 90 degrees into the air and threw me into a barrel roll. It bounced on the top of the runner and then bounced again and landed on its feet.
As soon as it hit and launched me I closed my eyes and sucked my body toward the center console with head lowered cause I knew my drivers side was heading towards the ground. As it smashed the ground at first contact on the roof I remember opening my eyes for a split second and seeing glass flying everywhere . The sound was horrific. Then as it wasnt obviously done flipping I closed my eyes and kept hanging on trying to keep my body tight to center of vehicle. I thought for sure that at first impact that I was going to smash my body against the ground and die.. but it stop rolling and landed on its feet. I opened my eyes and looked at my body.. I was all there. I could move my legs and feet and everything worked.. I saw no blood except for my elbow and shin. I just sat there stunned and in disbelief of what had just happened. A female pedestrian ran up screaming "are you ok!!".. I just sat there.. I opened my door.. Another guy yelled at me to stay put so I did. He told me to shut the runner off.. So I did.. and put it in park. Somehow my foot must have still been on the brake. Police/ fire/ Ambulance came and I got to walk out of my vehicle alive.
After asking God to save me in mid air my other fear was that my younger son would come outside for his school bus and see me dead in my car. We all walked away. The other young female driver was fine but shaken up.. she was all of 90 pounds and would have surely been in critical shape had I hit her square on.
So although my 4runner is trashed and all the work was washed away in a moment.. we all get to live and see our families another day.
