Then did my test fit of rear bumper so that I can get it coated now.

This bumper is a tank!

Per FedEx Tracking all 3 pieces (bumper, swing out carrier, jerry can holder) are 165 pounds.

I ordered a 4xinnovations rear bumper with tire carrier on a black Friday sale. Lead time was 4-6 weeks. I figured with the Holidays that may delay it a little and I was fine with that.. but.. It came yesterday on time!! Very impressed! I had ordered something similar for my 87 a year ago from another company I won't name and it took over 3 months! So stoked..

I am going to try and get it test fit this weekend before taking it for powder coating along with my sliders and a couple other small things.

My body contacts the bumper over any slight bump/crack in the road I will be installing mine this weekend to hopefully stop this from happening.

They were worth it imo and not even hard to install other than getting a wrench in there. Might want to b'laster the bolts a few times while you wait...

Got my bumper back from powder coater really fast and did the install Saturday.


Cleaned the body behind the bumper...

Then my brother stopped by and between the two of us and a floor jack we got it up. I don't know how I would have done this alone...

Then my rear axle seal went bad after just changing everything last summer... I'm hoping it was a failure on my part. If it leaks again I am getting a new axle all together.

I figured since I did the seal again I would install my marlin crawler axle breather kit in case mine was bad and not venting properly.
Its the shiny part in the center of the pic...

I routed the line up and out of the way for now till I have more patience to find a better spot later.

Sunday I got bored and decided to clean my garage a little but ended up installing the rear tire carrier. I wasn't going to do it till I got a matching spare but I figured what the heck...

Then I threw the spare on from the 87 just to see how it would look...

How it sits now till I get a gas can, spare tire and relocate my license plate.

And since I was adding freshly powder coated parts I put this on really quick...

For this antenna mount when you bolt the rubber pad down on top of this bracket are you guys shaving some of the rubber down so the hatch closes smoother? Right now I kind of have to slam it because of the added thickness of the bracket...

Minor update, got the spare tire on

Got some work done on the 87 too.. almost ready for paint. Haven't touched it since last September.

Looks good. I'm from clacakmas county as well. Mulino / Oregon city to be exact. Moved to Washington for work. These runners look really good with better bumpers.

I had the same issue but didn't want to trim the pad so I turned my rubber pad around 180 and then reinstalled it. Hatch closes much better with no side shifting.

I installed the rear Sonoran Steel body mounts and it fixed the problem of the body shifting and hitting bumper Thanks for the tips guys!

Also got a neoprene cover for the jack.

Gave her a bath yesterday because its actually going to be nice for a few days

I got another mirror spoiler but this time in white so I dont have to paint it. It has some scuffs but I am hoping they buff out.
Also got a white fender mirror that is more correct for this runner than the other one I had. Plus its white so I am stoked.

I worked on getting my CB set up. I used a firestik firering cable so that it was cleaner looking on the outside. It was 18 feet which was perfect. Got it all ran up to the front and soldered the end connection on. I just need to get my blue seas fuse block set up then I can power the CB.
I also used an antenna quick disconnect with a 3ft firestik. It creeps over the top of the runner but not by much. I really only plan on using this on the trails with friends so if it doesn't work well cause its too short I will just switch to a 4ft antenna. I got the disconnect in case it hits my garage door. Right now with the 3ft it doesn't hit so I wont need to be taking it off.

Looking sweet! The powdercoating makes everything super clean. Also, don't think I've actually seen what those fender mirrors look actually look like on that side.. interesting
