Chipped turn signal question

Hello I own a 01 4Runner Sport and the glass that’s next to my fog light is chipped in the corner. It’s a very minor chip, I was wondering if I don’t get that fixed will water go inside of it and mess with my turn signal or electrical parts? It’s very minor and you can’t even tell unless you look at it hard.

Sorry for the newb question I just received my 4Runner and I don’t want anything to happen to it. Thank you

If it is a hole to the inside, then yes, it can fill up with water. It won't ruin your truck. Keep an eye on it and see what happens. There are cheap aftermarket replacements that you can put on there if you see the need to fix it.

The chipped piece is actually in the corner of the glass near the outer edge, should I be ok? It’s not something I would want to fix since it’s so minor. Thanks for the response.

Yeah just noticed it has very little condensation on the inside of the lens. That won’t hurt anything if I leave it?

Thanks for the info guys sorry I’m ocd about stuff.

Clean it real well with isopropyl alcohol. Let it dry, maybe use a hair dryer to help it and evaporate the condensation. Then apply a dab of clear E6000 adhesive to the chip, working it in with a toothpick. That should hold it until or if you decide to replace it. I’ve also used a superglue gel to fill in and seal chips in plastic lenses.
