Which is the better deal?

I've narrowed it down to 2 4Runners. a Silver 2003 SR5 V6 4x4 with 118,000 miles which I can get for $10,500, or a 2004 White Sport V6 4v4 with 74,000 miles for $13,300.

They're both rust free, both have sunroofs, tow package and cloth interior. the SR5 had 2 owners and all maint is up to date. the Sport is a clean 1-owner car. The SR5 just had a brake job.

I like them both, just wondering if the Sport is worth $2k+ more than the SR5...it is according to NADA.

I would go with the sport. It has less miles and its a year newer. The grey interior is much easier to keep clean than the tan and better looking in my opinion. It will have a higher resale value when you decide to sell it. Plus white is sexy on the runners

No contest. $2,800.00 more, for a Sport Edition with 44k less miles and a model year newer? Yes, silver may be a little prettier, but that hood scoop and six spoke wheels sure beats the the SR5 flat hood and 5 spoke wheels, IMHO.

Downside is the XREAS. I wanted a Sport before I found out about that. Now stoked I have an SR5, although I'm not really sure how much of a pain it is to eliminate it. Just something to keep in mind.

Sport! I have an SR5 and love it. However I miss some very simple amenities found on the Sport or Limited. Plus, 2003 was the first year of the 4th Gen so it's got it's weird 1st year issues. And isn't the 2003 body cladding different, with notched flairs? I hate those.

What first year issues are we talking about? No tpms? That's a plus. I'd get the sr5 because xreas.

Get the Sport. XREAS is easy to get rid of. It only took me an extra 20 minutes to remove it completely when I swapped in my new suspension.

What is wrong with XREAS? Unless you're doing a full on suspension lift, it makes for a great handling vehicle on road. As far as removing it, it took me 20 minutes to remove ALL XREAS plumbing/reservoirs, etc., when I was installing my Ultimate lift.

No that's it. Replacing it. Extra time to remove, and isn't it kind of expensive to replace as well?

I did say I didn't know how much trouble it is to remove it... if 20 minutes, or even an hour I would consider that reasonable anyway thus not being a factor so carry on.
