Hey man, I like your truck.

It is very similar to mine. I have a Black 97 Limited (grey trim) 4x4 w/locker.

I recently painted my fenders matching black because they were starting to fade badly. I also painted my bumper black.

If decide to paint your sliders or rear bumper, I would advise SEM semi-gloss black instead of attempting to match the factory paint. I think the look is better. That is also the color of your ARB bumper btw.

I also have a sound system. FYI you can cut the back doors to house 6x9 and the door's speaker holes will still like up perfectly. I am currently running Infinity Kappa 6x9s in rear.

Got the sliderz painted today. Used a black rustoleum hammered metal paint. Here are some before and after pics:

btw when you decide to paint that rear bumper (i just did mine) be sure to rough up the chrome with some serious grit sand paper. Also I would get a air quality filter mask (not a dust mask) for when you do it because Chrome is not something you want in your lungs.

Don't think I'm gonna paint the rear bumper, but thanks for the tips. If I did anything with the bumper it would be taking it off for a CBI.

Got a few upgrades done yesterday and today:
Valentine One, 2 Kragen 7" HID Spotlights, Kenwood KDC-X395 headunit, MTX 10" sub, and rewired my rear speakers. Sound system sounds so much better with the new headunit and subs. Really ties together well with the Memphis speakers. The lights are also super bright. Will get some nighttime shots.

Installed some 231mm Tundra brake calipers and Tundra Brembo rotors with Toyota brake pads today:

How hard was it to get the 231's to clear the LC80 wheels. I am going to get mine to fit tomorrow hopefully.

I trimmed the edge of the caliper with a dremel then let the wheels take care of the rest of the trimming lol. They still growl a little but so I think I might throw a small wheel spacer on the front tomorrow.

Eh not really a huge deal I think. I've read lots of other people doing similar when mounting their Tundra brakes. The metal on the calipers is pretty soft compared to the wheel. I just drove around the block once and the noise was basically all gone. Only makes a little bit of contact noise when backing up slowly.

Installed some Wheelers poly steering rack bushings over the weekend. Turned into a major pita! To anyone doing it in the future make sure you install the bushings first then slider the metal sleeve in. Don't try and push the bushing and metal sleeve in together. Stupid mistake. Oh well. Steering is much tighter and sharper now!

Went to the Padre Island National Seashore today. Was there with my girlfriend, Dalton (trailmix), and his girlfriend. Beach wasn't in the best of conditions but still had a good time. Tide was way up so had to drive through some water to get to where we wanted to be. Here are some poser pics!

Finally got around to installing my Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers. Now my brakes don't rub the wheels, but now my tire rubs on the inner fender! Argh! Guess I'm going to have to bust out the grinder.
