i hate the snow! alll these are related to snow
2 weeks ago my friend totaled their land cruser
last friday another friend was rear ended and his explorer is totaled
and this morning i had it in 2WD and hit some ice and the rear end slid out and hit a gate

I had a little trip last weekend, very rough condition and later the evening we had a snow storm and the wind was around 100-120m/s (around 220mph).
It was just pure crazyness.
But, one picture from the trip, me pretty stuck in the snow, btw, 1,5psi of air in the tires.
('cept the left rear one, it went flat because of an accident, that's why I'm stuck in the first place! haha)

and I can tell from the antenna's on your vehicle you have HF and I think VHF radio's in there. You using them to keep warm? (that was supposed to be a joke)

Hehe. Yeah, I have VHF, HF, CB, NMT (long range telephone).
And we actually use the HF now and then, but very few of us have it. Too bad my antenna broke in the wind, heh. Lots of stuff need fixin'!
I actually have a webasto oil burner in there, too bad it's not connected yet! But a good idea, maybe I could use the HF to warm the car abit up.

No, not really, I've just been doin' this since I was little (my parents have a Nissan Patrol on 38"). And in Iceland this is a pretty common sport.
I've never had any troubles with gettin' out of deep snow, or ice-mixed-with-water (I can never remember the english word for this!), or any other rough situations we've had. My poor trucks always get to feel everything to their limits!

I see what you are saying. Living up there you are used to driving around in that stuff (which looks like a lot of fun). Unfortunately living in the state of Georgia we almost never get any snow, and if we do it is like an inch. We get the short end of the weather stick.

Slush? Huh? My english knowledge fails here... haha
Anyway, I understand that people who rarely confront snow find it pretty rough, I was like that first when I saw american's rock climbing for the first time.
If I'd live in the state's I'd probably be in the serious rock climbing.

I don't find snow that difficult. I have driven in it before, but NOTHING like what that pic shows. Especially if you are sitting on 38s!:awais:
