Chrome Side Mirrors

In my opinion, if your going to get the chrome look, you have to get the whole package, wheels, door handles, pillars, etc.

But thats just my opinion. I love the look of that chrome though if you get everything.

i did order a set, I should recieve them this fri. it seems like a good price and if i don't like them its not to big of a ding in my wallet.
You have to post some pics for sure! I am totally curious how they will look....especially since you have a black 4runner. The links don't work anymore. How much did you pay?

Search for a guy named gmoney or something, he has a chromed out 4runner.
Thanks, I'll still consider his but they are a little pricey, so I am curious about this ebay option.

I have chrome mirrors, door handles, and bumpers on my 95 and i think it looks great. It looks leaps and bounds better then just body color or black pieces

I don't have the chrom mirrors or the chrome piece thats on the tailgate like the. I did't want to go to overboard with the chorme. I would not say mine is totally chromed out, the only places I added chrome is the grill, door pillars, door handles, and rims. I might get the tailgate piece, but the mirrors will be to much. My opinion is the chrome looks good on certain colors like black, silver, and white. If I had a diff. color my look would be totally diff.

:iagree: I totally agree with everything you said. One thing to note though is I thought the same thing about the mirrors being too much chrome but I've seen them on some people's ride and they really don't stand out too much. I guess that might be because back-in-the-day all cars had chrome mirrors, so it seems somewhat natural even though we have really large mirrors. Keep in mind I'm not getting them or anything, but I was definitely surprised the weren't an eye-sore.:sobbing:

I actually purchased these for my 05 4runner SR5, was not a big fan of the black plastic, so I purchased the chrome covers. They are pricey but did look real sinister with the chrome grill. As said prior, they are real pricey and did take 5 weeks to receive since they came from Japan and made by Toyota. IMHO, the grill and the mirror covers are more than enough chrome to beautify this beast. There is a cheaper version of these covers made by Putco.

only issue I had with these covers is that the inner part of the mirror housing was not or maybe cannot be covered due to the way it curves in.

Boy do I miss my first 4runner. May she rest in peace

Are they hard to install or did you have them installed? Im still debating as to whether or not I want to just paint mine the white color or get the chrome ones

The installation did not require a thing, the Chrome covers had 3 strips of industrial strength double sided tape. During last winter, they stuck on like it was a part of the vehicle. The covers are nice but I wasn't too happy that the inner mirror housing was still exposed of the black.

what about chipping?

I was thinking of ordering the chrome mirrow from ebay or performanceproducts, but im scared they are going to chip at some point

lets add some topping to the chrome cake, is there a way to chrome out the roof rack ends and side step ends cause i saw it on a qx56 and it look awesome

I am also looking for some chrome mirrors, door handles, and pillars for my '98 SR5, but I am having a hard time finding them. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Has any 06 or 07 SR5 4Runner owner placed chrome side mirror covers? I'm gonna have my dad look for them in the Philippines, but I'm not sure that they will sell those in the Philippines, because the chrome side mirrors of the Prado (GX counterpart, which has the same size side mirror as my 4R) is the whole housing, not a tape on thing. I don't want to take the original black side mirrors off and want to just add chrome side mirror cover like I did with my Odyssey. Any FIlipino here find some there by any chance???

Here's my Odyssey's chrome mirror cover.

could you post pix for now. I wanna see it in person also but I don't know if I have time since it's about holiday season and a lotta stuffs to do. My dad leaves for the Philippines tomorrow, so cross fingers that he might find some at Banaue or even at SM (which will be more expensive) if that is what it takes! ;): :p
