Chrome/Silver Emblems?

So I just got my Forrest Green '99 4runner and I'm already looking into some of my first mods (small aesthetic things).

I've looked around and absolutely cannot find silver/chrome emblems for my '99 T4R. I currently have the gold emblems on the green, and personally, I don't like it very much. I've also thought about putting the black pearls on, but I like the thought of the chrome/silver emblems going with the chrome bumbers.


Tell me what you guys think:
Black Pearl or Chrome/Silver emblems?
& where can I find chrome emblems?

I personally HATE gold emblems. They are like gold teeth. They are out of place and look cheesy. I would go with the chrome emblems since they are the cleanest (asides from debadging altogether). The black pearl emblems are ok but only look nice on a lighter colored truck. Although I have to say the black pearl toyota logo looks like it's missing from the front grill since it's so dark. Just my $0.02.

Thanks for the input dingo, I agree on your taste about the chrome.

Should I just go to my local dealer and have them quote me on the emblems, or does anyone know any online places? I still can't find chrome emblems, I'm sure they have them at the dealership.

Chrome. Not much for the gold emblems either.

I personally like the gold on dark green and black vehicles. Look on ebay - chrome ones are available there all the time. You might have to reapply the doubled sided 3M tape to them if they are used. Monofiliment fishing line works great for removing the old ones.

templ, found these but I have no idea or reference as far as being expensive or cheap. My coworker has a 2000 Limited with black pearl emblems and she said sh paid up to $300 for them at the time.

Oh sweet, thanks a lot dingo. Man, my dealer was quoting me up in the 400's for the black pearl sets

These look just as good, might as well go with the flow

You want the darker emblems it's cheaper to buy the chrome and spray tint them yourself.

Also check ebay for emblem sets. One thing to note that the emblem sets generally don't include the "4WD" one which can cost about $30 more.

I checked out those sets from dingo's post, and it turns out that none of them come with the SR5 emblem. I don't have to worry about 4WD, because my rig isn't, haha. I guess I'll check out ebay, thanks ronmaiden.
