Quick ? I'm looking for some new locking hubs and the ones I found on ebay say they'll fit 1986 to 1994. They look like the same ones that are on there now. Aren't the 85 N 86 the same? Thanks

NO, they are not the same.
79-85 solid axle hubs will not fit 86+ IFS trucks.

Local craigslist would be your best bet. In my area, you are looking at about $100 for a set of used Aisin's.

The stock ones are best if you can find them.

They are also pretty easy to rebuild.. what happened to your old ones?

The right one wouldn't unlock. I'll check around some more and see what I can find.

you're sayinf I can rebuild the ones I have?

Everything is fixable.

Probably just need a good cleaning. The grease hardens over time and makes them difficult to turn.

Ok found some by Mile Marker for $100 bucks they should be fine.

If you do go that route, make sure it comes with the Toyota conversion adaptor. At least that's what I was told at the local 4Wheel Warehouse. Even they recommend using Aisin hubs.

It's easy to rebuild, all you need is an O-Ring, two gaskets, and some grease.

Either repair your Aisins or get the Warn Hubs. I'd stay away from the Mile Marker. Google and search a little on here and you will find that they are not recommend very often.

But like most have said, if you have the time rebuild yours. They are the best you can get. If you don't, throw them in the classifieds cause there are a lot of people who will take them off your hands.
