Mine 22RTE rebuild was about $3k. But I had a racing-engine shop do the machine work (right), had to get a new head, sent the turbo to Turbo & Electric in AZ, since they specialize in the CT20, and added ARP head studs, and paid a little extra for a nice head gasket...and a few other things here and there.

It's getting to a reasonable price for what it is, a killer ride! Although I would put 37" tires in place of the 40".
