Good luck. Not that it cant be done, but you will proabably break several clips. Didnt check online, but the local stealership wanted $2.15 a clip.
I attemped to pull all the cladding on my 4runner and ended up quiting after trying to pull the rockers trim.
There will be 10mm bolts on the front and rear of all wheel wells... remove those. Also, there are several clips (red and blue) that hold all the cladding on. You may have better luck removing the door panels and going through the door. On the fenders, you may find it easier to remove the inner wheel well plastic to get at the clips. On the rear quarters, I have no advice other than maybe slightly prying them off.

I removed the limited flairs on my 02 to repaint. It was a pain, go slow. My dealer had the clips in stock, I believe 10 red and 8 blue. Don't reuse the old clips they get muckled and mine also had pop-rivets to drill out. Good luck. Removing the flairs and cladding is only way to get a good repaint.

That looks KILLER. I'm debating painting mine, probably with bedliner, or taking them off, filling the holes, and painting where they were with bedliner. I really, really, really hate my 2 tone pewter/silver right now. I really don't like the flares, I think they're way too wide, just a little worried about what's underneath, I don't want something dumb like fender flares to turn into a can of worms.

2 coats Rust-Oleum primer then 2 coat Rust-Oleum truck bed coating (spray can), 10 min. between each coat, 4 hours between primer and coating. The truck bed coating will drip from the nozzle periodically so don't hover over the piece you are spraying. It's held-up pretty good so far. I pressure washed mud off the vehicle several times and it still looks like new.

Snow? I'm confused. These are limited flairs or sport flairs? I was on this thread and they said that these were 00' wide Sport flairs.
I want this type of flairs but I don't know what they are called! I am going to take your advice though and paint them DD.

Good question Brilliant. I assumed that the Limited and Sport flairs where one and the same. My 02 is a "Sport Edition" and no different than all the other wide flairs I've seen.

The Limited flares are molded into the lower door cladding. Those would be the wide (00-02) sport flare. Bushwacker has a similar flare. Bushwacker - Fender Results
