So this season I decided to use clay for the first time and try synthetics rather than the all natural route that I've always taken.
After some research I picked up the Wolfgang Elastic Poly Clay kit, a bottle of Z-1 Show Car Polish Lok and some Z-2 show car polish with the ZFX additive.
I went at it yesterday and I have to say it's an amazing difference. My 4runner is an '02 which had 2 New England winters worth of nasty stuck to it despite regular washing and waxing. I could just feel the texture when lightly running my hand across the finish. Section after section I would lift the clay bar and see all the junk that the clay was pulling off my paint.
Anyway, the truck now has a glow to it and the finish feels like glass - smoother than when it was brand new. Plus, the Z-2 is so easy to apply and remove - especially after you get one coat down. After these results, I'm never going back to natural waxes again.
