Cleaning instrument cluster? 5th gen

What is a safe way to clean gauges? My last car I put perminent spots on the gauges, don't want to make same mistake.

Glasses cleaner is mild for soft eye glass lens. It works for me.

I have not cleaned them at all yet, want to use what others have used with positive results. MY gauges in my last car looked like I had water marks on them. This 4R is brand new so I dont need to restore gauges just want to clean them safely.

definitely give Plexus a try. fantastic results on my TE's instrument cluster this weekend.

Perhaps a bit late on this, but I used a three step acrylic polish kit from my local Marine/Boating shop. My dog got his paws on the cluster and scratched the lenses to hell.
The fix was surprisingly easy, and as soon as it warms up, I'll be doing my headlamps as well.

NOVUS Plastic Polish

Note: I used about five drops of this stuff(from each of the three bottles), to do the instrument lenses. If you can, try to find the small sample packs, or get the smallest containers.

Finish off the job with little Plexus spray and a soft cloth, and she's good as new.

Plexus for regular cleaning, and the Novus Plastic Polish for polishing out fine scratches.

Plexus also works great on laptop screens and flatscreen TV's. Use a microfiber for best results.

For probably 20 years I've carried a small retractable feather duster in my vehicles for just this purpose. The gauge covers on most vehicles are really soft plastic and will scratch easily when cleaned with a cloth but the feathers do no harm and get into small areas like air vents etc. A friend gave me mine but Amazon has similar ones for less than 20 bucks. Mine is about 1" diameter and easily fits in the slot in the console lid.

I use the California Car mini duster to keep my gauge cluster and navigation screen clean. Not a fan of spraying or wiping chemicals on these delicate surfaces.
