Cleaning up after trips to the mountains.

I take a few trips up to the mountains a month during the winter. Mostly just weekend trips. I just want to make sure I take the best possible care of my new 4Runner after these trips.

Here's my noob questions.

1. Will the skid plates take the majority of the rust and salt damage?

2. Is the best way to just shoot a pressure washer or a hose under my truck until it's super clean? Anything I need to worry about hitting/soaking with water? Should I be at the internals behind my skid plates also?

2.5. Same question for dry dirt and dust. Do I just try to hose the dirt from underneath the best I can?

3. Is it better to come home and immediately wash it off on a cold/damp night after a weekend in the mountains or wait for morning so it can dry faster in the day or the next weekend when I can do a more thorough wash?

1. We don't use salt on the roads around here
2.yes just blast the heck out of everything especially frame rails
2.5 yes same
3. Overthinking this one a little. Just give everything a good rinse the next day or whenever just don't let it sit for days or weeks
