Clear coat rims?

Just wanted to ask how much protection you guys think it really adds? I did a semi-flat and it's the perfect shade of black and I think the clear will add too much gloss. What do you guys think?

it will add another layer of paint so another layer of protection if it was a custom color match or bear metal it would be a good idea but if you hit it with clear then you will have gloss. But there are flat clear paints. If you just want flat black wheels just stuck with that.

I did literally one can of paint per wheel lol. So I think there's plenty of layers. Maybe I will go with out clear.
