Clear corner installation

Hi,

Just got my dad's old 4runner (1997) and I'm trying to install clear corners. The manual states that I just have to pop the hood and unscrew 1 screw and then take light out. I've done that, however, I'm having a lot of trouble popping out the corner light. Can anyone suggest tools, methods anything? I've tried for the past half hour but the end results was sore fingers...

According to this writeup, it takes a bit of force to get them out.

Force

It takes a bit of brute force to "pop" them out. Try wedging something in the gap to get them started, but not something that will crack the lens. Once you get one out you'll see what I'm talking about.

Thanks guys, I finally got the suckers pulled out last night. Had to use 2 hammers but the car looks so much better.
