Well my light came in yesterday and I put it on today. The install was easy. For everyone else who wants one, get some silicone to seal the water out. The pics aren't the best and my truck is dirty from the snow/rain. Now all my brake lights are LEDs. Tell me what you think.

I like that look on yours. . . flows together well. Thanks for posting the pic of it lit up; I was wondering how the four leds would look. I think I want to upgrade my taillights to the '01s first and then I may do the led brake light. :bigok:

The 3rd brake light was purchased on e-bay and the two other brake lights were purchased from a member of yotatech who lives in Japan. He sent me those for $40 shipped. I then went and bought a red LED bulb for those two brake lights. My next step is clear corners and then I will be completely clear lol. All bulbs are being replaced by LEDs.

That housing doesn't look OEM at all.

I'm not sure if I like it or not. I'll still probably end up buying one.

What kind of silicone did you go with?

X2. Looks like somethiing has fallen off with those screws plainly visible.

It is not OEM, but I like it. The screws do stand out bt only if you look at it up close. I went with Super Clear silicone. If I could find a clear screw I would go with that, but I haven't searched for one yet lol.

That's what I was thinking. It's probably one of those things where only I would notice it, but it would irritate me.

I'm thinking since I have the spoiler that it would hide a lot of the tail light, so the non OEM look wouldn't be that bad.

Here I am thinking I was the only one with the clear tails.

ill-legal

my buddy had the same lens got pulled over twice. the reason "there isn't any red plastic in the lens" hope this doesn't spread. I guess that's why all the ricer honda tail light companys like altezza have red plastic in the housings now. I dunno

Look on his hitch, you see the red reflectors? It's more than legal since he has those.

Where did you get the LED bulbs at?

Cool thanks.

Is there a noticeable difference between the regular light and the LED light even through the plastic?

Also, is the basic idea behind the 7443 bulbs - the more you pay, the brighter the bulb? And would I need single or dual circuit? I'm assuming dual since the tail lights are 2 stage

I had LED 7443 bulbs in my 02 for a while. I got the best ones, they were around $30 a piece. The contrast between the running brake lights and when you hit the brakes were terrible. There was barely a difference, I'm suprised I didn't get rear ended. If I were you, I'd get the LED tails, trust me it's worth every penny...
