Cleghorn catch-all

Instead of starting a thread every time someone plans a trip to Cleghorn, let's just bump this thread.

Heading up tomorrow 9/17. Leaving OC around 8, probably get out there a little after 9. HAM channel 146.460. Me in my 4R and a buddy with a Taco. Holler.

Good idea. We did a night run on 9/16. It was my first time doing it at night... front bumper clips tore off during an over the top offshoot near the end. Made it through though :D

so you know that one spot where everybody gets their cool three wheeling photos for instant gram? the one that has the easy way up on the right and all the shitty ruts on the left? yeah, that one. i snapped my shitty aftermarket CV axle there on sunday. when everyone was telling me "stick with OEM, aftermarket are garbage," i didn't listen because budget. anyway, i paid for it. it cost me my three day camping trip with OC overland and $579 from toyota HB.

I want to do a day of wheeling but it seems like everyone is now doing camping trips. I can't do those due to childcare issues. It's been a longtime since people have posted a day of wheeling at Cleghorn.

Sup D, haven't seen you post in awhile. Got to get you back on the trail. You can always join the overnight camping and just do a day of it.

Gotta bring the wife and kids out on the camping trips man.

I have never done this trail. Usually go on my owne, but Would like to go with some one on this one. I only have time for day trips right now. If any one wants to go on a week end I’ll be there !

I have tomorrow off if anyone wants to go. Hit me up. Hope a 2in lift and KO2 is enough for this. Wheeling Level: Beginner

Before I moved out of SoCal I went to Cleghorn 2 times. It's a great trail. Easy parts, difficult parts, but there are bypasses. I went with OEM tires and no lift. No problems, just don't try the crazy stuff.

I did air down to 15, that may have been too low, but I never slipped a tire. 18 may be a better choice.

I would go with another 4x for safety and to watch what they go through first, then decide if you want to try a more difficult section.

Enjoy that T4

If I still lived in SoCal I would be there. This time I would turn on the locker and go up between the power towers a little way in. Missed that last time.
