Looks like I no longer work Sunday. The gf and I are in. Is it an issue if I don't have comms?

its up to you if you get one or not, but its a great investment if you hit the trails with a group, communication on the trail adds more fun to the experience.. i actually encourage you to get one just in case you get lost or venture off the group some how. i'd at least recommend something like this.

Won't I need a license for HAM?

im not sure why these are listed as HAM, they weren't listed as ham when i bought them as they are simple two-way-radios which have 16ch. I do have a Ham radio though. Baofeng uv5r

I just ordered the CB radio kit from rightchannelradio and hopefully it will get here by Friday so I can install it.

I got one too, Baofeng UV-82HP. Now, trying to figure out if it's ready to go or needs programming. Need to get it ready for the Calico run. Did you figure it out?

Yeah Andrew set it up for me, he hooked it up to his laptop. But programming it is beyond me lol!

you guys can meet there before 8am if you want and gas up/eat, then head to the meet spot like last time right off cleghorn rd. Mcdonald's/chevron has limited parking so i rather not take up all the space there. So at 8am meet off that big parking area right off cleghorn rd exit. Bring whatever comms you have, i think the majority of us will have the simple 2-way radios.

I Haven't been on this run either. I'm running stock suspension and tires.correct me if im wrong but I should be able to have no issue with most of it.
