Clicking/Scratch Sound coming from steering column in 5th Gen

A friend sent me this video today of a noise he has been hearing in his 5th gen. I have not the slightest idea what it might be. He said it happens every time he starts the 4Runner and goes forward. This is on a 5th gen TRD Off Road. Link to video is below. Sound is at 4 - 5 seconds in to the video. Any thoughts?

This is absolutely no help but I also experience the same noise under the same conditions.

Always wondered what it was.

If it's after you crank up, back up, then as your driving forward then it's the ABS system. They all will do it. Its no big deal.

Thanks. I will pass that along. Do you know why the ABS system does that? It's good to know this happens to all 4Runners before mine arrives!

There are other threads on this.

Couple options... there is a plastic wire holder piece on the pass side that comes loose and begins tapping against whatever it can. Or in my case I know I am missing one of the plastic clips in my wheel well on the driver's side on the plastic flexible cover behind the UCA, so the plastic flaps when I'm moving, creating a ticking/tapping sound at the driver steering column.
