Clicking sound gas pedal???

my 2014 4runner click on times when letting do of the gas pedal it makes a click sound. I was wondering if this is normal??? Any input is appreciated it. It only does it at times when driving it. Update the click sound is now there and doesn't go away. I removed the gas pedal and when pressing with my hand I can hear the sound coming for the assembly on the gas pedal.

I just went to the dealership yesterday about this because it is driving me crazy! I traded my 2014 SR5 in for a 2017 TRD Off Road. It seems like it is positional or something because mine is on and off also. Let me know if you come up with any fixes PLEASE!

2016 TE dies it too. I know there's a separate thread on this here somewhere. Seems normal.

It's in fact the gas pedal. I removed it and press with my hands and it makes the click noise. Coming for the assembly inside the gas pedal
