Clicking sound when turning

So I recently lifted the runner and both cv boots are torn so I'm hoping that's the issue. When I make a right hand turn, the left front wheel is making a clicking sound. It's starting to do it randomly while driving straight as well.

What do you guys think? Cv boots?

The torn boots are the cause, but it's the CV thats clicking. You probably ought to replace both of them, and then look into a diff drop and some stronger boots.

You can run them for a while without damaging them right?

Any potential damage to a cv can generally be confirmed by hearing a clicking sound which usually begins while turning; becoming progressively constant until complete failure is achieved.

How high do you have your toytec coilovers cranked up? I was running mine all the way up for a bit and my cvs started clicking. Lowered them half an inch and put in a diff drop and they haven't clicked since.

It's really not that high. My buddy has a 98 with 33's and the front of his is 39.5" ground to fender. Mine is 40" with 35's. Same exact front coil overs. I know these can be cranked up higher, and I need to since the rear sits so high. The diff drop really doesn't do much. It's just a personal opinion so I don't want to offend anyone who swears by them but it's just a minuscule amount of change in overall angle.
