recently got some bulbs in hopes of a simple fix: burnt out bulbs.

after replacing the bulbs and installing the climate control back into the car.... i STILL have a completely dim left side. the bulbs did not fix the issue so what next?

Any ideas from someone that has done this before?

this is for a LIMITED climate control

This could be as simple as "one of the new bulbs being bad" or as complicated as a "bad board." There are numerous "Climate Control Repair" posts on Ebay and I know many of the T4R.org members have used them with success. I have seen prices ranging from $45 - $125 for the "send off and repair" services. Might be best to send it off and have it repaired/refurbed and get many more years of service out of it.

When I installed mine 2 of the 4 didn't work, I was able to get them to work by taking the bulb apart by Un wrapping the wires and pulling the emitter and wires out of the base, straightening the wires and reinstalling them in the base making sure the wires weren't touching and it fixed both of them.

You would think they would test these things before shipping them.

He refurbs these for a very reasonable price.

Climate Control LEDs

^^^ This pull the ones out that are not working and rotate 180 degrees. I had the same issue when I put in LEDs

My Climate Control Unit (2000 Ltd) has no illumination, I pulled it out today, it looks like there are 2 sizes of bulbs (4 in total) embedded in plastic mounts, they don't seem to come out of the mounts. I would like to replace them with with LEDs, ore failing that, with new bulbs.

Do the bulbs come out of the plastic mounts, or not?

Does anyone know?

They will come out of the mounts but... then they will be broken. You can get LEDs that will fit I did it.

It’s been a year since I did it. Think they T3 5mm, they are a pain to find but I’m 100% sure there is a thread out there about doing this.
