I have a 2000 4runner and just recently I started having problems with my clock. At first it would not come on until I pushed any one of the buttons under it. It would come up fine and not have lost any time and stay on until I turned the vehicle off.
Now it seems to happen where even pushing the buttons doesn't help. Sometimes it will still come on when I push a button and then in about 2 minutes go off and won't come back on at all.
Everything else in the car works fine.
It's keeping time just fine, and it works sometimes so I'm assuming that it isn't a fuse (Plus I doubt the clock would be on a fuse all by itself). Also, if pushing a button makes it work then it can't be loose wiring, because I'm not actually moving anything physically (I'm assuming that I am not).
Anyone else have this problem before? Any advice?
Thanks for any help.
