Clock spring- OEM vs aftermarket?

Hi all,

So, got the slow blinking of my airbag light on my ‘07 on Friday. Looking on here, seems it’s likely the clock spring. I still have to pull the codes, but I’m looking at the part (84306-60080, I believe). Seems I can either pay ~$200 for the OEM part, or $15-35 for a selection of aftermarket replacements on Amazon.

I’m torn - on one hand, OEM parts for something to do with the airbag system seems like a good idea. On the other hand, $20 vs $200...

Thoughts?

Since it involves airbag deployment, I'd get the OEM part. While these may be made in the same Chicom factory as the generics, at least you'll be assured of Toyota specs and quality control on the OEM branded part. If you ever have to depend on those bags, then the extra hundred and eighty bucks will be the least of your concerns.
