I read all the threads about the infamous 'clunk', and it sounds like exactly what is happening to me, except that my clunk is coming from the front, possibly the passenger side wheel area.
The car has been looked over by a repair place and they found nothing loose or wrong, but I don't trust them
Like the clunk sufferers, I hear and feel a pseudo-random set of clunks when coasting slowly to or from a stop on flat surfaces. Any speed over 30 mph or so and the noise seems to disappear.
I have a 2001 4wd 4Runner.
Is this the same clunk everyone else has? Is my car put together backwards?
