My 4Runner has developed an odd problem in the past two days. When I'm driving there is a clunking/knocking coming from what I believe is the driver's front. Upon inspection I don't think it's a wheel bearing because I jacked it up and tried to wrench on the wheel. Visual inspection shows the CV boots are in good shape, and the axles don't have any play either. It seems like something is rotating. Happens in both 2WD and 4WD. 4WD acts as it should. My first thought was maybe some ice got caught up in there, but when it's persisted since last night I have dropped that idea.
