my clutch went out today. I replaced the master cylinder and it didnt help. Any more ideas what it could be?

I kept pumping the clutch but it wasn't building pressure. I never opened the bleeder valve if i did would it make a difference.
You have to open the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder, otherwise the air has nowhere to escape to.

Yes ,Yes bleed the slave cylinder thats why you have no pressure.

I opened the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder still nothing? Any more ideas if not it has to go to the shop today!

If it were properly bled, you would feel the normal resistance in the pedal, and when you open the bleeder on the slave cylinder, you would get an uninterrupted flow of hydraulic fluid.
Like I said, it can be a pain to get them bled after air has entered the line.
It might be easier for your sanity to take it to a professional mechanic.

Just trying to clear up something about what you said. When you said you opened the bleeder to purge any air, did you only open it on the pressure stroke, and close it before you released the pedal. If so, did you get any fluid out the bleeder at all? If you used the right bleed method and didn't get any fluid, then you may have a problem with the new master cyliinder. Also, did you bench bleed the master cylinder before installing it?

turns out the parts place did give me a bad master cylinder. Put the new one on bled the lines and now it's perfect. I knew i wasn't an idiot. lol. Thanks

Newb with a bleeding problem
So new I cant start a thread! I havent found the answer here yet, I hope you guys can help.
I lost all pressure in the pedal while driving so I replaced the master and slave cylinders. Pretty straight forward. 6 weeks later I lost all fluid in the master and became the gear jammer to get home. I figured this was a good time to replace what had felt like a worn clutch since I bought the truck.
Here is the list of replaced parts:
Clutch Master Cylinder
Clutch Slave Cylinder
New steel braid hydraulic hose. Designed for toyota clutches.
Pressure plate,
Clutch spring
Pilot Bearing
throw out bearing
I am at my wits end. I have no clutch. None, zip, zero, nada. I have bled the system a number of times. I found that the master was bad so I replaced that. I pulled the entire hydraulic system and bled on the bench. Bench bled the master, then added the slave and block bled the system. I pushed the cylinder back and got the last couple burps of air making the pushrod stiff. With the block still applied the push rod had ~ 1/8 to 1/4". I installed the entire system without breaking the seal (again). I got the pedal assembly back together and nothing.
I have to believe there is some mundane detail that I am missing, I hope you guys can help me before I pull the entire transmission out again. Or worse, pay someone to do it!
Some thoughts: I have pumped the clutch some, not to get air out, but to try and cycle the slave cylinder and build pressure. Do I need to keep doing that?
The shifting fork felt ok when I had it all out, but I didnt give it a super thorough, view with a magnifying glass inspection. Could this be bad?
I have checked the pedal box for cracks. I cant see any, neither could my buddy.
