CMilViper's 2017 Cement 4Runner Build

I've had a lot of fun the last few years with my white 2015 4Runner, and now my wife has taken over driving this one!......

We decided to sell my wife's Range Rover, so she is now driving our white 2015 4Runner (which she is very happy about). So we were looking to add another 4Runner, or a Land Cruiser to the garage....

I was able to locate/pick up a cement 2017 4Runner TRD Pro with about 700 miles on the clock back in October 2017.

A lot of the mods and/or accessories added so far, match up to how I have our 2015 set up... This is what has been done up to this point:

-Icon Stage 3 w/ Icon Delta Joint UCA's/Billet Rear Link Arms with Icon Overland 3'' Rear Springs
-C4 Fab Sliders
-Shrockworks Rear Bumper w/ Rigid Lights in the rear
-Gobi Stealth Rack/Ladder w/ 40'' Rigid Radiance Light Bar
-285/70r17 Toyo Open Country MT's
-Spidertrax
-ARB Awning 2000
-Maxtrax mounted to the Gobi rack using Eezi-Awn K9 mounts
-VIAIR 400P
-Xenon Depot Philips 4300K HID's
-Philips Yellow LED Fogs
-Philips LED Interior
-Tablet mount
-Husky Mats

-Safari Snorkel (In the garage, Not yet installed)

Next on list: Front bumper/winch, storage/organization, RTT, RCI skids

I will use this thread for future trip pictures, and updates to the 4Runner.

I'm looking forward to getting out on the trails with the new one, and hopefully I'll be able to get my wife out there as well with hers!!

Oh I’m jealous. Local dealer had a used cement it’s under 8k miles. But they wanted 53k. I’d save so much getting an 18 that I could build a really capable rig. Couldn’t justify the price to myself but will always dream of that sweet cement.

I think you have the best fitment I've seen there, no gaps and it looks really good. Did I notice a rear dif skid or am I just imagining it, or is it a plate for the rear links?

Thanks.....No rear diff. skid currently. The only thing added in that area are the actual Icon billet rear link arms.

Initially, there was no gap at all between the bumper and cement bumper trim....But I pulled off the trim a few weeks ago and used a dremel to get it to where I have about a 1/4 of an inch of gap .....just to have a little room for movement/flex.

I just installed the ARB Rear Diff breather (need additional tubing for the locker), and I'm about to start the snorkel install later tonight. Hopefully that goes well....

I will also be looking to replace 3 Rigid light switches.. with OEM-looking switches from Air On Board.

I like them a lot! They have a little more noise on-road than my K02's had (which I was expecting with an MT tire), but not too bad at all.

I love the way they look, and Open Country MT's are great on the trail.

Here you go CoolMax....Basically adapted the Eezi Awn K9 Maxtrax mount to the Gobi, along with using the Maxtrax mounting pins. I have about a quarter of an inch in clearance on both sides.

Yeah, this was how I had the Maxtrax mounted on my 2015, which had/has a Gobi rack with fixed cross bars.

On my 2017, the Gobi has the removable/movable cross bars, so I would have more options for mounting the Maxtrax....But for now, I like how this set-up gives me a lot of space on the rack for trips/future RTT ect.

I just finished the Safari snorkel install, and it all went pretty smoothly! I don't think my wife likes it too much, but I love it!

Thanks! It is a KD Links dash cam. I've actually had this one for about 2.5 years, and it has been great. Very crisp, clear video...

There are so many more to choose from now, and technology has only gotten better. Here is a link to the current KD Links dash cam equivalent of what I have....and it's the same price I paid 2.5 years ago.

It's held up to the heat fine.....but if it 90-100+ degrees, and sitting in direct sun for hours, then I'll always remove the camera/radar detector ect. & place them under the seats/floorboard.
