Does anyone have photos of the Coastal Offroad swing out tire carrier on their T4Rs? I am interested and the price looks alright. Their website is pretty lacking in photos of the configuration that includes the jerry can holder.

Thoughts? Experiences? Photos?

Do you know what the weight is with the bumper + tire and jerry cans? What sort of rear suspension are you running?

Do you experience any bouncing or movement on the tire carrier when wheeling?

Thanks! The base bumper weighs about 120lbs. The dual swing out adds approximately 60lbs total.

The bumper fully loaded with full gas cans, an average 33" spare, and a hilift jack comes in at around 350lbs.

I am using OME861 coils with Tockico land cruiser shocks. The set up works very well and the extra weight hanging off the back makes a very noticeable difference in traction. Much more than I expected. You can really step on it in slick conditions without getting any tire slip.

coastal isnt active on this forum anymore. i tried making a thread late last year in their section and never got a response. youd have better luck writing them directly via email.

that being said. im sure its atleast a weekend project. although if youre going to spend all this money on a rear bumper, just take the time to weld it right so you arent stuck fixing something down the line.
