Video #3.

This video takes the viewer through the transmission tunnel swap as well as installation of the quarter and rear windows.

A lot of the footage used was vertical video, I apologize in advance. I am ashamed (damn you, Instagram!) and vow to use horizontal filming in all future videos.

Video #4 revolves around the Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings and subframe rebuilds.

There's some mention of the F&F hero car and there's going to be a video of that adventure coming later.

I'm also working on part #5, which brings us to present day, and will be the last video for a while.

Just so you guys know, the build has not been progressing quickly just due to life. I started 2 businesses in the past year and they've taken priority for now.

My hope is that by the end of this year, both businesses (or at least one) will finally hit profitability and the Supra should see a lot of attention! I'd rather wait and do it right than rush it now and be disappointed with the result. The car will get a single turbo setup, intercooler, fuel system, ECU (thinking ProEFI), and more, but this all costs big bucks and buying these items now would be foolish considering that these businesses will later be earning me far more than I earn now. I've just got to stay positive and think big picture here. The car WILL be finished when the time is right, but until then, I've at least got the MK3 Supra turbo to zip around in.

Hello from the future. Here’s a reply to both of your inquiries since it’s similar questions. Thank you both for your kind words of encouragement.

Long story short I had a series of disagreements with my business partner and we dissolved our partnership. Both previously discussed businesses are no more. He was a pain in the ass.

I have a business of my own now and it’s called Gimme Collectibles. I can’t avoid going into detail from here though, lol. I acquired a vintage collection of toys, sports memorabilia, and collectibles from a long time collector. He decided to let go of his collection all in one go. Most items from 1980’s and 1990’s. Majority is all factory sealed.

My favorite parts of the acquisition:
23,000 hot wheels cars
10 pallets of sports cards
20 pallets of various GI Joes
35 cases of Garbage Pail Kids buttons
Dozens of sealed cases of trading cards

All that and there’s still 30 more pallets of misc stuff, including Star Wars, TV/Movie memorabilia, vinyl records, magazines, books, comics, sports equipment, antiques, 120,000 folding scissors, 24 crates of nail clippers, and so much other random stuff.

It took me about a year using my 1989 Toyota pickup to move all 75 pallets to a small warehouse that I started renting. I lined the walls with pallet racks and got a small forklift. Been selling the stuff on eBay and making some pretty decent sales.

Finally found the wiper arms and installed them. They were missing for a few months and turned out to be about 3 feet away from the car. I repainted them when the car was still driving, but considering they were outside for at least a year, they could use a repaint again.

Front bumper is assembled. One of the lip mounting retainers is new since it was previously missing.



97-98 grille painted and installed. This is a 1995 bumper that required some modifications. There are two holes drilled on either side of the center opening area to accept the ends of the grille.



97-98 signal lenses, DEPO brand clear without the amber. The OEM units that were previously on the car were rock chipped and weathered. An extra slot was cut into the bumper to accept the additional mounting.



OEM marker lamps with new mounting hardware and LED 194's.



Titek Kansai lip. The bumper looks a little off in the pics, but that’s because it’s just sitting loose. It still needs to be mounted to the upper bumper frame and crash beam and with all bracketry before it will look straight.

Passenger door is complete.

Here is the application of 3M butyl tape to hold new door moisture barriers.

New moisture barrier installed.

Door handle installed. New Rockford Fosgate 6.5” speakers installed. These 6.5" adapters have been with the car for a while, but the speakers are now the correct size.

ABS actuator.

Removed from the mounting bracket

After some cleanup with a bit of scotchbrite. Ordered some new mounting hardware for this and haven’t gotten around to installing it yet. Next update most likely. Will give the black parts a fresh coat of paint before completion. Also will be installing two allen plugs for the Trac system elimination.

Twin turbos were churning out 17 PSI of boost regularly before being taken off the road.

They were beginning to show signs of failure before removing the motor, they have been spooling a bit slower and sometimes blowing oil through the seals on deceleration.

A decision was made to remove them from the car and save them with the rest of the OEM parts.

Heat shield and intake piping removed

The shafts in both turbos feel tight with little play, these are most certainly worth rebuilding.

And removed entirely

After a solid brushing and wipedown

A while back, I got some Sparco seats from Martin with a 97 DJG. I showed some pics of his car and his single turbo setup. We discussed his intentions to update to a larger turbo and made a deal for the old setup.

Borg Warner EFR 9180 1.05AR non-wastegate twin scroll
Full race tubular manifold, twin scroll
Tial MVR wastegates (2) with dump tubes
Turbo oil drain line -10AN
PTP turbo blanket
K&N Intake (for later)
Downpipe with 3-5/8” V-band to match turbo
Hardlines for wastegates
Apexi boost sensor


I’ve still got to buy:
Oil feed line, -4AN (plus blockoff plug)
Oil pan drain flange, -10AN
3-5/8’s V-band clamps
Coolant feed and return lines
Exhaust manifold short studs
Exhaust manifold nuts with small flange diameter
Borg Warner clamp plates (missing 2 of 5)
MAF compatible intake

Mock up and test fit… going to come back off later. Going to look into getting the manifold, dump tubes, downpipe, and turbo compressor housing recoated. Will be painting the block with POR 15 brand engine enamel, applied with a brush.

Then it came time to disassemble the intake side of the motor to get to cleaning. Still in process. Will have the intake manifold all the way out soon and will clean and paint block while its apart. Then it’s a matter of cleaning all the individual components and refinishing/replacing whatever necessary.

So glad to see this update! I was just thinking about this build the other day, while watching one of the Throtl videos on their Supra build. Their build is pretty sweet, but I like this one better.
