code 52

help, i have a 91 4runner that keeps coding 52. it is the 22re. any ideas?

Code 52 is knock sensor if I'm not mistaken, going off of memory here. Check your wiring connection to the knock sensor to make sure it is plugged in all the way. If it all checks out you may need to get a new sensor.

The code reader i have says "knock sensor circuit/ knock sensor or circuit faulty

thanks, i cut out the old wire running from the ks to the ecu and replaced it with new coax cable. done, no more code 52.:jump::jump::jump:
