Can someone recommend an code analyzer (not sure if that is the correct term) for my 2000 runner? Do code analyzers allow the user to reset codes? Thanks for the help.

get a blutooth reader from amazon for $15 and get the torque pro app from the google play store for $5 for your smartphone or tablet.

I have a Innova 3130 that I upgraded to read ABS. It doesn't read my saturns ABS but does read the Grand Cherokees. The above OTC looks like it's got a lot of features for the price.

Just for future reference, what you're looking for is an "OBDII Scanner or reader". So when you start shopping for them just search for that. OBDII (On Board Diagnostics, 2nd generation) is a standard mandated by the federal government for emissions compliance. Because of that the scanners work across various models for all the basic functions. Most auto parts stores carry them in various levels of functionality. If you just want to read and clear codes the basic versions are fine. As you spend more money they offer more features like being able to monitor various functions for troubleshooting purposes, and data logging.
