Code P0333 Knock Sensor 2 Circuit High Input (Bank 2)

Ok, so only 4 posts on this subject with no solution on t4r?

I got the Code P0333 Knock Sensor 2 Circuit High Input (Bank 2). Reset it and didn't come back...yet...

Reading about it in the FSM. Seems a :tape2: to get to...remove the heads! Well that cant be any worst than the previous project....replace the A/C evap.

So what does this code really mean? Internal problem? Sensor problem?

The real issue is that it:

ECM sets ignition timing to
maximum retard

We cant have THAT!!!!! :wow:

Any thoughts help!

Knock sensor threw a code again. Anyone know how to tell if the knock sensor is bad or there is a real problem?

Well, I mean... if it came back the circuit probably has an issue. What I would do is see if you can see rodent damage/nesting in the valley of the engine? I have seen rodents chew that sub-harness up a couple times so far.

You can replace the subharness without pulling one of the heads, but it's not a fun job...

You could try electrically testing the circuit from the ECM side and see if that sensor has failed.
