Coilover Adjustment after Bumper (Toytec)

I am perplexed. I have Toytec Boss 2.5 Coilovers and just installed about 400 lbs of equipment as follows:

• Proline Bumper - 140 lbs
• Smitty Winch - 100 lbs
• Roof Rack 50ish lbs
• RCI Skids - 100 lbs

The front end obviously needs to be adjusted for the weight. I have adjusted drivers side 1"+ but have am not receiving any lift when measured Hub to fender. Both sides are exactly the same when measured. 24" See pictures for the drastic difference in collar height.

What am I missing here? Instructions say to not have over 1" of Threads visible between top of collar and bottom of top hat which I am well beyond.

Toytec Boss 2.5 come with 650# springs.

Those look like the COs that Radflo were making for toytec.

Per Radflo:
"DO NOT adjust the collar beyond 1” of exposed thread between the top of the collar and the bottom of the top shock cap on a 700 LB spring, 2.15" on a 650 LB spring and 2.33" on a 600 LB spring."

Ha - Just took the weight off their website.

My Toytec instructions do not say anything about different springs. So seems I am okay then to keep adjusting.

Do you have the Radflos?

they updated it to show 140 lbs for the r1 guard if you click in the information tab..
guessing regular r1 is 120lbs and not 140

i had a 200lb bumper.. the proline isn't it hah

Did you measure before and after. It's common for the trucks to lean and need more pre-load on one side to be level....

If it was level before. you should be able to adjust both sides similar amounts and raise ride height some. However, a bumper and winch often require heavier springs. 700lb might be appropriate for that setup.

More pre-load on one side still impacts the other a little...

Yes, I have the 2.5 in front.

For reference I'm at about 3/4" on the right and a few more threads on the left, about 7/8" for 3" but I don't have a bumper yet. May have to upgrade to the 700 front coils when I get the bumper, but I'm hoping the 650s will be fine with the 4x4 labs weight.

Thanks guys for the feedback. Still a little baffled how I can have one adjusted so darn high and not see that difference in actual ride height.

Toytec said these Boss 2.5's would be fine for a bumper. But I didn't actually give them all the weights that I have added in addition.

Love the coilovers and have around 20k on them. All the aftermarket weight was recent.

Also - to be clear, Center of Hub to fender indicates I have about 3" of lift. But the weight did give me a slight forward rake I hoped to adjust for. I haven't measured in about a year. Really wish I measured before I installed the bumper.

Drivers side has a full 3/4" more exposed thread than passenger. But the truck is now sitting level.

I'll call Toytec Monday and verify it is okay to have 2" of exposed thread on the coilover body and if the 650lbs springs are okay for all this weight. Assuming the Radflo instructions are correct - I should be good to go.

Did you ever get this sorted out. I'm having the same issue. I cranked a bunch more threads out but it's still less than the right side.
