Coilover Compatibility

Hello, I have a question about coilover compatibility. I’m not talking about the direct fit ones made for our vehicles, but actual COILOVER shocks. I know that a top hat/eyelet adapter plate will be a must to install these coilovers. My main concern for this project is the cv axle or tie road (maybe both) coming into contact with the springs. This is because the springs go down so low on the shock itself, rather than the direct fit ones having a shorter spring. I may be completely overthinking this, but would like to hear y’all’s thoughts about it before spending money on something that won’t work.

3rd gen uses standard spring retainers.

Unless you're going long travel I believe standard shocks will be too long.
