This evening I put together my tundra trd coil overs with the tundra bilstien shock, tundra isolator and 4runner top hat. I got an incredible deal of the springs, front and rear shocks from a 2004 Tundra that had been removed with less than 4000 miles on them. They had been sitting in this guys garage for years, now he only wanted 30 dollar for the set. I felt very lucky to get them even if i had to drive 800 miles round trip.
I didn't have any trouble putting them together with the autozone spring compressor, but i do have one question. What is the best way to tighten the top nut? I ended up holding the nut with one wrench and turning the top of the shaft with another and tightening them about as much as I could.
This weekend they go on my 01 4runner with OME 906s in the rear with OME nitro shocks (the shocks I got brand new on Ebay for 5 bucks and shipping-it pays to look and be patient) . The rear tundra shocks are going on my tundra which currently has some white Gabrieles that were there when I bought it.
