coleman safari rack

you can mount lights on it. just use the Yakima Round bar ski clamps. i am using the Square bar clamps and it works great for my Jaos rack.

its the Jaos spoiler i got from Jason B. =) i am very happy with it.

i can run my light wires through the 3rd brake light cover. down and out the stock wire looms then to the battery.
 
For all you guys wondering if Yak attachments will fit the coleman rack...I say just order them and find out for us! Be a pioneer in the rack world and let us know. What's the worst that could happen, they not fit and you have to send them back? I say go for it! Heck, I'd buy some, but I don't have a Col. rack.



Side bar: JustAnotherT4R, how does that rear wing mount? How sturdy is it? Does it vibrate or move any at hwy speeds? Looks good regardless.
 
Spoiler - it doesnt move unless you shake it with your hands. i will take it apart and take picture of the bracket if you like. its a little hard to explain it.

i think i have a 2 Yak round mount clips if anyone wants it. please reply in the thread and i will pm to get your address to ship it out on my Gf's company. so FREE for you to be a guinea pig.

only catch is that you have to prove me with a Picture of your rig in return for other to see.

Sound fair enough?
 
hmmm! it was on their website like 2 weeks ago because my gf and i were thinking about getting the coleman snowboard rack. anyways. THe best part from the price is the fact that you will buy it form COSTCO and you can return it for a full refund when you are done with it! Not encouraging anyone to do it, but it's an option. :-)

got to love costco!! im so glad i live 2 blocks away from the one in garden grove! :) too bad the parking there sucks though.

That'd be great! No rush or anything, I've just always been curious how these things mount. I've been considering getting one, but can't ever seem to find any pictures of the mounting install.

I just bought mine two weeks ago and its still listed for sale on their web site. Just to go costco.com and type in "safari rack." It'll pop up.

installed the rack yesterday and love it. when you grab mine and shake it it shakes the whole 4runner, not the rack as it is nice and tight fit to my factory rack. here are a few pictures of it.

Im pretty sure im ordering mine soon! Anyone has there spare tire up there if so, how do you keep it from moving around ?
