Color Codes for Exterior Silver Trim?

Hi all, I had an unfortunate run-in with my garage door last week and hit the silver garnish holding the 4runner and Toyota logo on the back door. Luckily, that and a few clips are all the damage done. I ordered all the parts, but did not realize it comes in the raw black plastic form. I see everybody painting theirs black and that is an option, but I would just like to get it back to the stock color for now. Anyone have any idea of the color code, or a source for it? It does not look chrome dipped, more like silver. I would have no problem painting if I found something very close, but don't want to make any mistakes. Any advice is appreciated.

on the inside of your driver door, there should be a color code. use that as a reference...

dupli-color makes perfect match paint, go to their website and see which product number you need that matches your paint code.

example. my titanium metallic is paint code 1d4, for dupli-color i need product bty1516 paint.

the C stands for the overall color, the TR stands for trim.

the arrow points to the color of the overall vehicle.

fyi, not my vehicle, google image search.

I did the SAME thing a little while back - however when I ordered in the parts they came 100% ready to install, chrome painted, not black. I have a feeling they put the Trail Edition part number in for you, which theirs IS black, not the silver like the SR5 and LE.

Your exactly right, the part numbers in the repair manual are reversed. Need to swap it out for the correct one. Thanks for the help.
