Looks good iLLWiLL! I'm convinced that I will be doing the same now, especially after hearing how easy it is to do with the hood protector already installed.

Did you have to pull the V8 badge off of the old grill or can you order it with the V8 badge already on there?

The V8 badge easily snaps off the old grill.

As for the hood protector -- as i said, you can get the "stickies" from your dealer. Just place the stickies on the same spots that they were on the old grille. The stickies can be a pain to work with, so you may have to "shimmy" the hood protector 'hooks' so that the screws line up again. You'll know what i mean once you do it...

I ordered my grill on Monday and got it Thursday. All I can say is it the best OEM mod I have done. It even trumps the Homelink mod.

The only other smoked chrome I can find on the Sport are the headlights. Very little chrome otherwise. I understand that toyota wanted the Sport to be different but they really should have just used the color matched grill.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I was hoping somebody can point me to the proper part number for the color matched grill for a Black 07 4Runner. I just picked up the car yesterday, and I'm loving everything about it but the chrome trimmings.

I've gotten as far as finding the part, but there are 9 different part numbers and I can't figure out which is the right one for the black colored grill. Here is the link: 2007 TOYOTA 4Runner LIMITED 4000CC 24-VALVE DOHC EFI, AUTOMATIC 5-SPEED Body Group Parts like 53100-35A00

If anybody knows a reputable Toyota Online Parts site, would you mind pointing me to it, thanks.

What I got from looking through the Part Detail is the:

Front Grill in black is: 53100-35A03-C0
Garnish Assembly (Rear) in black is: 76801-35380-C0

Is that correct?

I think I'll order the rear part first, I have to replace the rubber switch/latch and the Garnish Assembly has to be removed to do so.
