Thanks for all the help everyone. I'm leaving tomorrow at 4am.

Did Black Bear on Saturday. It's a fun trail with some whtie knuckle driving thrown in.

Did you do the optional waterfall line before you reached the pass?

Did you stay at the KOA?

We are saying at Ouray KOA thru tonight then heading to crested butte tomorrow via cali gulch, etc to cinnamon.

That mineral creek trail after engineer was also wild!

Mineral Creek is FUN! Cinnamon was also cool, especially what I guess will be the backside for you (heading away from Animas Forks?)
Our campsite just outside Animas Forks...

The road from Crested Butte to Schofield pass heading toward Marble was closed a couple of miles before the pass due to deep snow still on it in the first week of August.

Don't know if that's still the case or not.

The chipmunks are in St. Elmo at the general store before the start of Tincup.
