This will be my first time on that trail so I'm not sure if there are bypasses for the obstacles.
I am looking forward to a more challenging trail that a rig can do with open diffs. There's a lot that I cannot do yet just because of my open diffs but I am really curious to see how my new tires are going to do at 10psi.

Me too. Without armor I really don't know about that trail.
According to the info put out by addicted offroad on their jamboree thread, chinaman gulch is not stock vehicle friendly. If you don't have at a minimum of a 2" lift, I wouldn't do this trail if you're worried about body damage. I would feel bad if I tried to convince someone to go and they put dents in their rig.
We will have plenty more opportunities to do this trail again and we will have a very detailed trip report for this trail. It seems like the only pictures online show the difficult parts and don't really describe the trail very well as far as bypasses and such.

Chinaman's is pretty tame. There are some deep holes and a couple obstacles, some bypasses for those, the only obstacle I think you can't bypass is whale's tail. Overall, it's very doable in a stock rig. You will likely scrape your skids, so make sure you've got that all covered! Experience is a plus here.

There is likely going to be A LOT of rigs on Chinaman's on Saturday. Like 30+ for our event. So, I would expect a lot of traffic and sitting. Just an FYI.
I would highly recommend rock sliders at a bare minimum and 33s for that trail.

When are you making a run up Red Cone?
It looks like a good camping run. I will be house bound the rest of July (after getting back from Ouray) catching up on home owner stuff but if you are open to a August run I am in.
It would be nice to have a dedicated crawler but my 4Runner takes me to the place that pays my mortgage every day, so I realy dont want to impact that. Besides, my wife would have a LOT to say if I did and it would not be nice. Besides she already has a lot to say and I aint broke anything yet.

right now the only free weekend i have in august is the 4th and 5th.
i'll be joining the group on the aug 11 run and the rest of the month is spoken for.
