Colorado Wheeling June ???

Granted 4 wheeling in the mountains is new experience to me but Metberry has a medium rating and after driving it I thought it was a piece of cake.

What I read about Eaglerock sounds very doable.

I have no desire to get crazy and cause damage but I do want to get out and see this beautiful country.

Colorado is very different from the Arizona desert and Arizona high country

The only thing that sets my runner apart from a stock vehicle is lift and tires. I don't have any lockers, armor or recovery capability. With that being said, I'm not trying to go and do any wheeling on crazy stuff and destroy my rig or any one elses.

So... I ran a part of Eagle Rock along with footofgod and a couple jeep guys. The jeeps had lockers and made it up a part of it okay, I got denied bigger than $hit about 1/4 mile up the trail. Footofgod was behind me and we decided to turn around due to some damage to my runner and one of the jeeps and the fact that the trail got a bit more gnarly than traildamage.com led me to believe.

Footofgod is suggesting we go to the rainbow falls area. He has actually suggested it a couple of times and I think it's about time I listen to him

Until I get at least a rear locker and armor, I don't see myself running Eagle Rock again.

Is everyone okay with going to Rainbow Falls?

Yeah, that sounds fine to me. Eagle Rock and Saran Wrap aren't the easiest. With a rear locker and some sliders, I think it would be fine. But with no armor and open/open it's a little rough. What trails were you all thinking?

I didn't get any real trail damage. My electric cooling fan took a dump but I don't think that was really trail related. My temp sensor went out and my fan wouldn't turn on. I'll put the stock fan back on and get rid of that happening again.

I don't know that area at all. Footofgod has been there before though and he says that the scenery is much better than the trails off of stagecoach. I kinda figured he would be the trail guide in that area

I don't know if you've looked at Bull Park but it's in the same area as eagle rock and is a lot of fun.

Personally, I just want to get off Stagecoach rd. There are plenty of trail options in that area, but I hate driving Stagecoach itself. I'm ready to try some areas we haven't done yet.

How about some of the trails here?

Well, it looks like I could find some rocks there to add on to my rock wall :wink2:

I am good with this choice.
The reason I was hoping for something close is that I get back from Phoenix Friday afternoon and wont have much time to prepare. But I should always be prepared anyways so what the heck, lets do it.

If you all want a antoher easy run hit up Hermit Pass, it's about 1hr 45min south of Colorado Springs. Just got back from there.

It was kind of last minute thing when I made the decision since I haven't felt to well lately.

Ya, I'm up for running it again. I don't know when though my check engine light decided to pop back up again on this trip so I have to fiqure that out and I have the locker swap coming up though.

Yep, still snow in a few areas, the last switchback on the trail was still covered with snow.

If I remember correctly, FoG said that rainbow falls area was off of the 24. I am still not very familiar with this place so if anyone has a good meeting area let me know.

There is a 7 eleven gas station on W Cimarron ST and S 8th street. Everyone wanna meet up there at 9am?

Sounds good to me. I think it may be a Conoco at Cimarron/hwy24 and 8th but that's a nice big area to meet up. So we're doing Glacier Falls? Does anyone have a trail description somewhere? I couldn't find it on TrailDamage.
