Colored Roof Rack

I have been searching for a few days and have yet to find what I am looking for. I am a PrinSu roof rack for my 4th gen and got the crazy idea of getting it in a color to make it pop. I was thinking orange. Keep in mind I have a silver t4r. I am curious if anyone has seen or done this and curious of your thoughts.

I am just looking for some way to differentiate myself. Seems like every time I turn around there is another silver t4r.

I am still trying to figure out a way to make it look not so obnoxious. That's why I am asking for pictures.

not possible, sorry. that mercedes is V obnoxious.

I'd like to see someone try to match the factory paint onto the roof rack. IMHO that Mercedes doesn't look bad, per se, but it would look a lot better with either black or body colored bumper and rack.

I can't really tell if that is silver or white. I assume white.

I just think everyone has a black roof rack.

UPDATE:found your build page. That's a great idea with the lexan. I was wondering how much those light bars increase the windnoise.

Getting a little of track here, but is there a reason you didn't bolt the lexan right to the original piece?

The lightbar is curved. The lexan is curved to match. The lightbar made a lot of noise, I tried mounting it in a few places before I had a light bulb moment and thought about the lexan.

I think silver on silver would look good.

It's your rig so you get to do whatever you want regardless of what anyone's opinion is. Everyone will have a different opinion. Do it for yourself, no one else.

My own thoughts about color on my rig, is it needs to find a way to compliment my existing colors and pull out the best features of my rig. If it's safety related I believe in Orange or Red even if it's just a splash. I have a black rack and it works for me and my taste regardless of how many black racks are out there. I don't have any chrome on my rig so chrome is not an option - for me.

I ordered my prinsu with black bars and silver side rails and fairing. Going to see how I like that on my blue trail edition, and paint it all black if it doesn't work for me

I have an Anthracite 3rd Gen and I powder coated the wheels (FJ Cruiser wheels) in a color called Bronze Chrome. It's a shiny metallic root beer color. I am building plate bumpers, sliders, and a roof rack that will all be powder coated the same Bronze Chrome as the wheels. I say go for it! Be different. Heck, you can even be a rebel and use non OEM parts!

The more I look at the pics, I am thinking orange on the whole side might be a bit much. I will let you guys know what I decide.
