so finally signed up
I am on Expo a ton as Honu
into Snow Peak camping gear
and just camping in general and big time hammock camper
had a FJ since 2007
FJ ended up with a ton of stuff done gobi rack all pro sliders OME arb bumper winch etc... etc... etc.. etc...
older pic of my FJ when I had the conqueror trailer ! kinda miss it sometimes awesome trailer !!!!!
ans yes will post pics of my 4 runner but I just got it hahahaha
so just got a 2015 4runner white trail with KDSS
with family of 4 and 2 dogs the FJ was just to small to go camping in comfy since selling the trailer and got burnt out on towing a trailer is why we sold it
now getting into lighter and lighter camping gear but still love 4x4 back country camping my backpack days are over but used to do a ton of bicycle camping
and did spend 6 months straight living out of a two man tent
on to the new 4 runner
will post up some more pics as I get some work done to it
but this time around going to be more about some armor but do not want to go the larger tires and lift so much as nice tires and proper setup suspension
this time around want better mileage overall and less weight meaning less wear and tear etc...
I got burnt out on the noise in the FJ gobi rack aggressive tires on our way to the destinations etc...
also the mileage as we often have to drive %90 on pavement to get to the dirt ! nothing like 12MPG or less hahahahaha
moved to AZ from Maui about 9 years ago miss the islands every day (am in my 50s) so why the name Honu ? I taught scuba about 15 years out there also lived on Utila back in the 90s teaching diving
and the nickname stuck from being a hard core freediver and holding my brreath like the honu plus just liking them so much !
