Not if you use the dot approved lights, they have a similar beam pattern to the standard fog lights and it keeps it low to the ground. If you look at them at night the look like lit up squares, but if you duck down to the beam pattern they are extremely bright.
 
I need to order a wiring harness. I got the lights but my shop looks to have misplaced the harness. Hoping Total Automotive can let me order a new harness and get that ASAP.
 
Are you sure you got the elusive wiring harness in the first place? I assume you mean the foglight 'plug-n-play' harness and not the generic Rigid one that comes with every light kit.

If your shop lost your actual 'plug-n-play' harness, then you may be SOL. I think most if not all of us are still waiting to get ours the first time around, with not much news in expected turnaround.

They lost it, and I ordered another. I was told by Total Auto that a big batch of plug and play harnesses come in tomorrow (wednesday).
 
im just hoping to get a response from Total Automotive. I've sent an email and PM regarding my order and have not heard anything back. Ordered early June and have not received anything.

I emailed as well, no joy. I called them mid-afternoon and talked to Mike, and he was awesome. People sometimes forget just picking up the phone is easier than hoping for an email response.
 
Yeah I would call. Tried to reach the via email and pm with no response on something else and a quick phone call and Mike got it all taken care of.
 
Just received a shipping notification on my replacement harness. So I'd say people still waiting should be getting stuff in the mail soon.
 
My harnesses arrived in the mail this afternoon....installing now and will post some pics here a little later. Anxious to see the output of these (non-dot) D2 Driving units
 
Install went well and everything works great with the included TAP harness-to-factory wiring. The Rigid directions are pretty thorough, however they leave out a few steps and nuances that you have to figure out on your own (mainly with mounting the new lights / brackets in your bumper). I took a ton of pics during the install so if anybody needs help just let me know.
