Compustar vs. DEI

I am looking at getting remotes start and a new security system. I am looking at the Viper 5701 or the Compustar Pro 900 FMR. Let me know what you think and why. Thanks.

I've never had DEI products, but I will just throw out that I've had various Compustar units, and have been happy with all of them.

compustar all the way, i have the 2 way 900, me and my dad have it on our trucks, and we are able to remote both our cars, meaning he is able to lock and unlock and do everything on my truck with his remote and vice versa.

You can do the multicar operation with with the 5701 as well. Take a look at the new viper 5901. It uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery so there is no more replacing batteries! And it has a LCD display...

I am going to have to side with compustar. I love mine.

Thanks for the input. I ended up going with the compustar pro 900 2 way alarm and remote start combo. It gets installed on tuesday. Everyone I talked to said the compustars are far better than dei products.
